Halloween is one occupation that challenges model/diorama makers and toy photographers. Yeah that includes me and for this year I decided to go with Redskull, my favourite Marvel villain who out of the box is a worthy candidate for Halloween. This year I used the diorama wall(wooden cabin) from last year and custom made marvel legends Redskull with custom cape from Cloak and weapon from McFarlane Death Metal Batman.
I also used some skeletons(full review here) that picked few year back, who has always been my go to prop for Halloween. To bring in that Halloween feel, I placed some custom made Halloween pumpkin (custom made by my sister using crafting clay), which definitely worked its magic..
To top it off, I got my Batcycle by McFarlane and its bat skeleton based look took the scene to the next level. But I dint want this gorgeous jatcycle to take the attention away from my Redskull so placed him on to a corner and turned him like 3/4… this added more spookyness and enhanced the frame.
This scene is almost real and I have to switch off all my main light and light paint to get this effect. But the challenge is what made this shoot all the more fun. The only thing that was photoshopped is the dirt in the walls as I have very clean wall, which stood up like a sore thumb. This Toy photoshoot gave me challenges, but kept me excited for few days… Happy Halloween everybody. Trick or Treat.
