I have been a Marvel movie lover ever since I could remember and not that much into comics because reading isn’t my thing! And of all characters in the MCU Iron Man is my favorite since he showed up in the Iron Man movie in his hand made Mark-1 suit. Hulk is fun and unpredictable and with his green body he is distinct in any collection. I got this Hulk figure long before I started collecting figures as a company to my 1:18 Hummer by Maisto.
Because Hulk is known for his muscular body and nerve raising anger, most figures which feel into budget arent worth it. Till I found this website called aliexpress.com who can ship to anywhere in the world, which means they can ship to India as well. I viewed few rating of this Hulk as he is available with multiple vendors and picked one with good price to rating match.
I made the order on 2nd June, 2015 for juicy price of USD.38.74/- and free shipping… the delivery was done within 30day, which is good. The box is kind beaten, which is case with most items shipped via free shipping! Out of the box he is a beauty(AKA beast) he measures around 24cms even in this crunch posture. The weight is approximately 200gm which is not much(6inch Thanos weighs more that 225gms) and this due to it’s build material. This Hulk is made of made of plastic and it is hollow, which contributes to the less weight! Let get him into our review scale and rate him, shall we?
Overview: This Hulk statue is a very nice piece in any figurine collection! He, as the name suggest will live up to the name green monster, he is tall(taller than anybody excuse the Hulkbuster) standing at 24cm as opposed other figures and is all green with nerve raising muscular build.
Face Sculpture: Bruce when he turn green, he is in pain so his face portrait anger and rage, this hulk’s face show that in a very optimal way. The face sculpt oozes anger and that is enhanced by open mouth. His black hair details is done well and get matches the hulk from the movie “Avengers: Age of Ultron” And the most important facial feature that elevates this hulk’s rage is his eyes and chin details.
Body & Paint: Hulk being the guy who is biggest in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is covered with muscle all around. And being the fact when he turns all his apparels go off leaving only a trousers(no idea on the material) put him in Mr.MCU like situation! Crazy Toys did exceptional work in adding details to all the right muscle and the paint apps gives him a premium look.
Though the entire body details is done with a great eye for detail, I personally loved the muscular structure of his back, the texture and the paint application is sleek and the rage quotient is elevated multi fold. The front of the torso is done well and the six pack has came out very well.
Clothing: Hulk is that one character who needs not clothing budget except for those super expendable trousers. So only clothing details in this statue’s body is a purplish blue trousers that to torn at knee level! But that one piece of clothing is done with lot of details, the stitches are visible but a bit too large in my view. The crease and cuts are all in correct place and proposition give him a realistic fabric like look.
Posture: This Hulk posture looks like it is from movie Hulk vs Hulkbuster fight scene! The right hand is close fist and ready to trough in a deadly punch and the left hand is open in a taunting posture. And because he is leaned down this should be kind of a pose works well for attacking a smaller target of Hulkbuster in ground level!
Fine Details: This being large premium model (may be a KO) comes with lot of look for! The fist hand and the open hand in combination look super awesome and they are nicely detailed as well, check out the nail details on both hands.
Foot details is one other area that is worth mentioning, the nail detailing is nice and deep, the veins also are done nicely. The paint work on the foot is good too and the shades makes it life like observed from any angle!
I don’t own many Statues, intact he is the only 1/12(approx) statue in my collection, so for size comparison I have pull something that is comparable to this beast… So I pulled one of my early acquisition the cheap Iron Man, which I picked from a toy store long back, but he was one of the first to make it to my collection. And this Hulk statue looks super awesome right next to him.
Overall this is a great value for money statue, which for sure elevates your collection. For its price, this is one must have figure/statue if you are into Marvel! I will go all the way and say that this is the one Marvel figure that sparked a light, which turned into a full on hobby and this website for sharing them with you collectors. Some might argue that this is not a branded and may be a Chinese knockoff, but I am ok even if it is so… Because of the love for this character Hulk and memories that comes loaded with it.
