Iron Man is one of greatest character that Marvel has ever created and he has maximum number of iteration in Hasbro’s Marvel Legends line! I am one of those die hard fans and my collection of Iron Man figures is growing at a very rapid pace! I have been looking for some creative ideas to display my Iron Man action figures and this Sofa is one cool way to display both Tony Stark and also Iron Man.
I first saw a Comicave version with Iron Man Mark 42 in 2018 Comic Con, Bangalore and missed due to super high price and also its not retailed without the Iron Man Mark 42 figure! So was looking for some alternates since then, I even commissioned my sister to do a L-shaped sofa in red, which I used for my Christmas shoot! I googled for some alternate but most items found are all plastic built but finally found this in AliExpress.com luckily!
As mentioned I found a lot of 1:12 miniature sofas in Aliexpress.com too but this is the only one that matched the Comicave version, which made me click that “Buy Now” button immediately! I did this purchase on 5th December, 2018 and it reached me today, which is awesome taking into consideration the holiday season! This also become my first purchase for the year 2019!
The package is simple, which is also in line with the Comicave Iron Man Sofa! The box is a simple brown box with a graphical representation of the product and “MANYTOYS” logo on one side. The back side just has some statutory warnings, some copyright information and a smaller logo nothing more!
Unboxing is a straight forward affair, there is no styrofoam or any other thing like that but a plastic bag keeping the dust and also providing some protection to the product inside.
I expected the sofa to be a single pieces but the lower piece is a separate piece, which opens up some creative play options! This comes with two soft pillows, which are awesome to look at and also to feel. I would say the biggest selling point of this miniature sofa is its build and the material, the texture plays a bigger role in bringing in realism!
I wanted this miniature sofa to go with my Marvel Studio First Ten Years “Tony Stark” action figure with Pepper Pots but for a fair comparison of size I put my Marvel Legends Iron Man Mark 50 from the Avengers: Infinity War and he looks super good on him and also next to it! The dimension and the material would make any diorama look a million dollars! I completely love this miniature piece of furniture and at USD.25 (with free shipping) you cannot find a better deal than this!
